Bonn: Cohen & Sohn, 1876; 12:665741.
Message
The intermediate of three evaginations from the embryonal follicle is the anlage of sebaceous glands.
Critique
Unna correctly identified the intermediate protuberance of the follicle in an embryo as the one that gives rise to sebaceous glands. He made no mention, however, of a mantle as the morphologic equivalent at puberty of the intermediate bulge in an embryo.
