Materials and methods
Clinical and histopathologic findings in 34 patients with leukemia cutis were analyzed. A total of 55 biopsy specimens taken from lesions of these patients were assessed for patterns formed by leukemic infiltrates, cytomorphology, and associated findings (Hematoxylin and eosin staining, H & E). The density of infiltrates was graded as sparse, moderately dense, and dense. Infiltrates were analyzed for composition and cytomorphology, presence or absence of necrotic cells, and number of mitotic figures per high-power field.
