PAPULE:
A solid or cystic elevation less than 1.0 cm in diameter (example: eruptive xanthoma).

NODULE:
A solid or cystic elevation 1.0 cm or more, but less than 2.0 cm, in diameter (example: dermatofibroma).

TUMOR:
A solid or cystic elevation 2.0 cm or more in diameter (example: follicular cyst, infundibular type).
